Lisa Walker

(She/Her)

First Nations Fellow

Lisa joins The Front Project on a pathway opportunity from her four year Apiary journey where she has guided the fellowship utilising a First Nations lens.

The Front Project has engaged Lisa in an Impact Foundry First Nations Fellow role to continue this authentic two way ongoing cultural learning journey.

Lisa is a proud First Nations saltwater and freshwater woman who comes from the East Coast peoples of the Bundjalung, Gubbi Gubbi Kabi Kabi, Yaegl and Yuin Nations. She feels most connected near water and is guided by her Ancestors, Old People and Elders to follow in their footsteps and do her part for much needed change for her people.

Lisa has worked in ECEC the past 18 years and currently holds a few Cultural Advisory and Consultant roles throughout key global, national and local ECEC organisations.

Although Lisa has worked in various roles over the years, her priority has always been to provide a voice for her people, promote cultural safety and advocate for a more equitable future where First Nations jarjums (children) can thrive in all aspects of their lives too.
